Harry Redknapp decided this was the weekend he should declare that Tottenham will definitely finish above Arsenal and now he thinks Thierry Henry, with his zero managerial experience, should replace Arsene Wenger.

You’d like that, wouldn’t you ‘Arry? Maybe then your beloved Spurs could manage to finish above us.

Henry, for his part, has made no secret of his desire to one day hold the Arsenal job. He doesn’t want it enough, however, to give up slating them on Sky Sports in order to learn about what the job would actually involve.

Offered a coaching role at a club that apparently always shuns ex-players, Henry would not step down from his role at Sky Skports. Arsene Wenger said that you can’t be a coach at Arsenal and be paid to talk about the players on the TV (or words to that effect) and he’s right.

Redknapp gave no reasons for his suggestion that Henry should replace Wenger. Probably because he doesn’t have room enough in his head to hold that amount of information along with the name of his wife and dog. He also tipped Wenger to finish his career in China or Japan.

Other gems he came out with this week included telling everybody that if Arsenal couldn’t get Alexis and Mesut Ozil to sign for a new deal they would lose them.

In the same article, he was referred to as ‘BTSport’s football expert’.
