Egypt’s silver medal at this year’s AFCON has seen the nation enter the Top 25 FIFA rankings after the governing body released their latest table.

Egypt are currently the highest ranked African team, placed at 23, a jump of 12 places. Winners, Cameroon, climbed 29 places to 33rd.

Argentina remain the number one ranked nation with no sides moving into the top ten.

Cameroon made the biggest overall jump of all nations. Joel Campbell’s Costa Rica had the heaviest points fall, dropping 93 points, however Ivory Cost fell more places (13).

The top five nations remain unchanged

  • Chile
  • Belgium

France moved up one place to 6th, replacing Colombia who dropped to 7th.

Poland (4), Peru (18), Iceland (20), Congo DR (37) and Curacao (73) all occupy their highest ever spots.
