Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is apparently seeking ‘revenge’ on Arsenal for the hammering they received at the Emirates but it strikes me he should be saying ‘thank you’ to the Wenger & co instead.

Before Chelsea rocked up at the Emirates and were handed their arses back in September, they were far from the team we’ve seen since. It was the catalyst for their change to three at the back and they’ve taken everybody by surprise as they look to run away with the league.

Speaking to the media ahead of the game this weekend at Stamford Bridge, Conte said, “For sure we face another great team because Arsenal can fight for the title.

“Don’t forget that in the previous game we lost 3-0 away, and this could be a good chance to show that in the second part of the season we are a totally different team if you compare the previous game. It’s a good chance for us.”

Arsenal run a ‘care in the community scheme’ every season where they help struggling teams. This was last seen in operation on Tuesday night against Watford both other charitable games have included Bournemouth and Everton away, and Middlesbrough at home.

Given our midfield problems ahead of this game, it’s hard not to hope Chelsea operate a similar scheme.
