Arsenal’s u18s followed up the win from the u23s on Friday with one of their own against Swansea.

A late goal from sub, Tobi Omole, won the game for Arsenal in the 89th minute.

A first-year scholar, Omole was an unlikely scorer but he was able to find the back of the net where his more experienced teammates had struggled against a stubborn Swansea side.

Omole had come on just 15 minutes earlier, replacing Thompson in the final change for the Young Guns.

The Arsenal side that lined up against the Swans looked like this: Virginia, Osei-Tutu, Ballard, Pileas, T. Bola, J. Willock, Benson (Gilmour, 61); Smith-Rowe, Fortune, Thompson (Omole, 74) Nketiah (c) (Coyle, 61).

Arsenal have already secured second place in their group this season. Their next, and final game of this set of fixtures, will come next weekend against Tottenham on Saturday, 4 March.
