Supposed Arsenal ‘target’, Franck Kessie, has said that he would prefer a move to Manchester United but wouldn’t mind Chelsea either.

The Atalanta defender-turned-midfielder has been linked with a move to Arsenal since September 2016 and while the 20-year-old’s agent has apparently confirmed interest from the Gunners, this could be just a ploy to attract interest from other clubs.

At the beginning of February, his agent George Atangana allegedly told Calciomercato,“We have a lot of interest from the Premier League. Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal.”

Now, Kessie himself has reportly said that he would like a move to Manchester United or Chelsea.

“I did not hear any rumours around Roma, as I was at the Africa Cup of Nations and so focused only on playing,” Kessie told Tuttomercatoweb.

“I like the Premier League and in particular Manchester United, the club I dream of playing for.

“Chelsea? That is also a big club, nobody would turn them down, but I dream of United.”

Kessie’s scored six goals in 20 Serie A appearances so far this season and assisted two, which isn’t half bad for a midfielder who was originally a defender. This makes him versatile and proven goalscorer, and since Juventus were reportedly willing to buy him for €10m, this is pretty decent value for money with plenty of years left in him.

As it stands, however, even if Arsenal are interested, the player seems to have made up his mind.
