Arsenal face Bayern Munich on 15 February in the first leg of the Champions League knock-out stages and the Gunners have now submitted their squad with a few changes.

The Gunners have added Per Mertesacker and Danny Welbeck, both of whom are now fit, although Welbz is slightly ahead of the BFG, who signed a one-year contract extension in January.

When the group stages were played, Welbeck was recovering from the knee injury he suffered in May and our big centreback was returning from having knee surgery before the season started. Now, they should be ready to play.

Arsenal have also added youth players, goalkeeper Ryan Huddart, who Arsenal recalled from his loan spell at Eastleigh, and 17-year-old Reiss Nelson, who signed his first professional contract with the club in December.

Unfortunately, we’ve also withdrawn some players from our Champions League squad.

Carl Jenkinson, who has struggled to find his confidence following his knee injury at West Ham and was supposed to be sold in January, and Tyrell Robinson, who the club has allowed to leave.

The rest of the players are all starlets who have left on loan:

Chuba Akpom – Brighton
Krystian Bielik – Birmingham
Marc Bola – Notts County
Aaron Eyoma – FC Volendam
Kaylen Hinds – Stevenage
Stephy Mavididi – Charlton
Gedion Zelalem – VVV Venlo
