A look at the best social media posts from Arsenal players this week, although I’d use the word ‘best’ loosely.
It’s been another bizarre week for Gooners. After the 2-0 victory over Hull last weekend, Arsenal were thrashed embarrassingly 5-1 away to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
While Bayern are indeed a brilliant team and played us perfectly on the night, something felt different about this defeat. Something in Arsene Wenger’s eyes said this was it and the players must be picking up on this.
With this in mind, the players were understandably quiet on social media. There was some celebrating following the Gunners’ win over Hull at the Emirates…

Then players prepared for Bayern, which Granit Xhaka started for the first time since his four-match suspension…

But mostly the players who did post anything just got back to sharing obligatory promotional stuff.
For example, Alex Iwobi took on rap and grime artist – and Gooner – Wretch32 in a football challenge.

Apart from this, the silence has been deafening, especially since the Bayern defeat.
