Arsenal could be boosted by the return of Aaron Ramsey for their game at Anfield this weekend.

The midfielder has been sidelined with a calf injury since the defeat at home to Watford. He was expected to return to training last week, but as things have been so quiet with Arsenal since the Sutton game, it wasn’t clear if this had happened.

His return to full training, on schedule, has now been confirmed by journalist, Phil Cadden:

Ramsey picked up his first injury of the season in the opener against Liverpool. He went on to miss 12 matches before returning near the end of October. Another hamstring problem at the start of December kept him out for another five games.

Ramsey lasted just 20 minutes of the game against Watford and has missed the four games since. Had fixtures not been moved (Leicester and Southampton) it would, obviously, have been more.
