With the international break coming up for all the England teams, Arsenal players have been called up for the u17, u19 and u23 teams.

England U23

Defender/midfielder Leah Williamson and forward Bethany Mead have been called-up for the two friendlies at La Manga against Sweden (Thursday 2 March) and USA (Saturday 4 March).

Mark Sampson’s senior squad for the Shebelieves cup in the USA should be named very soon.

England u19

Goalkeeper Sian Rogers, defenders Taylor Hinds, Anna Patten and Lotte-Wubben-Moy and forwards Chloe Kelly and Rianna Dean have been called up for three games to played in La Manga, Spain.

England will take on France (Friday 3 March), Netherlands (Sunday 5 March) and Italy (Tuesday 7 March) in the round-robin competition. They are preparing for the u19 Elite Round to be played in Turkey in April, where they will meet the host nation, Denmark and the Czech Republic.

The u19 finals will be played in Northern Ireland and four teams will qualify for the u20 World Cup to be played in Britanny, France in 2018.

England u17

Development team defender Shannon Cooke and forward Jess N’Gunga have selected for the friendlies in preparation for the Elite Round that will be played in March in England.

According to the FA The England Women’s Under-17s will entertain Norway at Hednesford Town on Thursday 23 February before hosting the US at AFC Telford United two days later.  Tickets will go on sale at 10am on Monday 13 February, priced £3 for adults, £1 for children and £1.50 for senior citizens.

But if you look at ussoccer.com The U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team will travel to England from February 15-26 and will play three matches, two against England and one against Norway.

The USA team is made up of players born in 2000 and will be playing against its same age group during the three matches. The USA will play England on 19 February and Norway on 21 February, both at St. George’s Park, England’s National Training Center,. They then finish with a match against England on 25 February that will be played at New Bucks Head in Wellington, AFC Telford United’s stadium.

You can only laugh at that kind of discrepancy in the information given to the fans as obviously the first USA game will be the usual ‘behind-closed-doors’ game.

The u17 finals will be played in Czech Republic in May
