In the last few days, Theo Walcott compared a recent speech that Arsene Wenger gave to Al Pacino’s in Any Given Sunday but the boss insists the forward is a little wide of the mark.

Speaking to Arsenal’s official YouTube channel, Walcott even claimed he told Wenger that his speech reminded him of the Hollywood legend.

“He did a speech the other day,” Walcott said. “I won’t be able to do the speech because it was that good. It genuinely reminded me of that film ‘Any Given Sunday’ and I actually said that to him!

“I was a bit embarrassed and didn’t know if he’d seen the film, but he showed his passion and how long it’s been since we’ve won the title.

“He wants it like all of his players, but you can tell he really wants it which is really good to see.”

However, during his press conference ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Southampton in the FA Cup, Wenger insisted that Theo’s wrong and the Frenchman isn’t actually a very good actor at all.

“You know I’m a very bad actor, I tell you,” he insisted. “That comparison is certainly not right!”

Well, we’ll be the judge of that, Arsene.
