Arsene Wenger has admitted that his side got a bit lucky with some of their goals against Swansea on Saturday.

Speaking to the media immediately after the final whistle, Wenger was asked about the performance.

Here’s what he said:

“I felt that the first half was very intense on both sides and Swansea was up for it, well organised and gave absolutely everything.

“They managed to contain us very well. In the second half, they had more problems to contain us. Then we were taking over and creating chances.

“[We were] A bit fortunate on the goals we scored but overall we were always dangerous in every transition. Coming out from the back we always looked dangerous.

“Olivier has scored important goals recently and today another one. I think during that period we didn’t create a lot so it was good to take an opportunity.

“I felt that Alex Iwobi starts to score goals, that’s a good sign for us.

“Overall, I’m convinced if you are always in the box and you force your opposition to dive in on your shots, sometimes it goes for you, sometimes not. Today it went for us.”
