Arsene Wenger didn’t seem to hold back after Arsenal’s FA Cup win at the weekend when he was asked about his ban and if it was to lenient.

With many in the redtops calling for a stadium ban, they were dismayed to see him handed only a 4-game touchline ban. The fact that Arsenal then went on to thrash Southampton with a bunch of kids in their midfield made it doubly sickening for them.

“Those who don’t like me, any sentence will be too lenient,” Wenger told reporters.

“They would like to put me in jail somewhere, without anything, in the middle of winter — and that will still be lenient.

“I do not want to judge what the judge says. I got a sentence and I decided not to appeal just to get this behind me.”

Wenger will spend the next three matches in the stands watching his side, returning at the same time as Granit Xhaka who is also serving a 4-game ban thanks to his second Moss card of the season.
