As Arsenal fans, we’re not too used to receiving positive injury news yet, on Thursday morning, Arsene Wenger was all smiles ahead of our clash against Burnley.

The Gunners host the Clarets in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon hoping that second-place Spurs and/or third-place Liverpool can drop points.

Arsenal currently sit in fourth by just one point but have been known to crumble under pressure so with Burnley at 12/1 to grab a win, it might be worth getting yourself the Sky bet app and taking a punt.

Speaking to the press, Wenger revealed that several key players will either be back for Burnley or aren’t far away.

Olivier Giroud

The big guy has been back in training since Wednesday after being subbed off after 60 minutes against Swansea last weekend.

Considering the striker was out for several weeks towards the start of the campaign because of a toe injury, it was a little concerning to see him icing his ankle on the bench after putting us 1-0 ahead against the Swans.

Hopefully, he’ll be at least on the bench against Burnley.

Per Mertesacker

The German, who’s just signed a one-year contract extension with Arsenal, isn’t yet back in the squad but he’s training and should only be a few weeks away.

Hector Bellerin

The right-back picked up a knock in training recently but is back in the squad to face Burnley.

Francis Coquelin

Coq hurt his hamstring during Arsenal’s 3-3 draw away to Bournemouth but will be back in action for Burnley.

Kieran Gibbs

Gibbs is back in the squad after receiving a knock during Arsenal’s 1-0 win against West Brom on Boxing Day.

Theo Walcott

Isn’t yet back in the squad.
