It seems that Carl Jenkinson is still signing for Crystal Palace, the two clubs are just waiting for the right-back to agree personal terms.

A permanent move to Palace still seems to be on the cards for Jenks, who’s struggled to get into Arsenal’s senior squad since returning from a long-term knee injury.

Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s FA Cup clash against Southampton, Arsene Wenger confirmed that the clubs are just waiting for the player to agree personal terms and the deal still seems very much on.

This does suggest that Palace are thrashing out wages with the right-back, which are reported to be in the region of £40k a week.

It’ll be a shame to see Jenks go but, at the moment, he’s just stagnating. He’s not good enough to play for Arsenal and has been given the chance to develop but confidence issues combined with injuries haven’t helped.

Hopefully, Palace and Jenks can come to a conclusion soon so that he can start the next chapter of his career.
