Arsene Wenger has revealed that he will accept the FA’s charge of misconduct.

Speaking at his press conference ahead of the game against Southampton this weekend, the manager said that he will accept the charge but that he will also request a personal hearing from the FA about the matter.

He added, “I don’t know if I will be punished and how I will be punished. If I am punished, when I was sent off I was surprised.” He also explained that he thought he had a right to be in the tunnel after being sent off. “Nobody tells you where to go,” he said.

A personal hearing will allow Wenger to put his case to the FA in a bid to reduce or avoid punishment.
