Olivier Giroud has now scored five goals in five starts.

The France international has been given the nod to start only five times this season despite making 18 appearances over all competitions (13 in the Premier League). He’s the ultimate super-sub, scoring eight goals and assisting five during that time.

While many believe he’s a one-trick pony, he’s proven time and time again, especially this season, that his quality is enough to pull Arsenal from the jaws of defeat.

Against Bournemouth, for example, he not only scored our equalising third goal (let’s ignore the celebration, shall we?) but he assisted the first two as well!

He’s not just a player who pops up, gets his moment of glory and disappears. He’s helping in any way he can.

Against Preston North End, the big guy once against scored in the dying minutes. That’s five goals in five starts and two assists.

Is he on Alexis Sanchez’s level? No. But he’s been the hero Arsenal have needed during the last couple of games.
