Paris Saint-German are reportedly willing to cough up €70m for Alexis Sanchez.

The Chilean, as we are all probably well aware by now, is out of contract in 18 months and while Arsene Wenger does seem confident that the forward will extend, it’s far from official.

One of the most recent clubs to be linked with a swoop for the 28-year-old is PSG, who are now apparently willing to offer €70m for Alexis. They want him that badly.

Considering Arsenal signed Alexis for a reported £35m (around €40.3m) from Barcelona back in 2014, that’s a €30m profit.

If the report’s true, it then comes down to Arsenal weighing up whether what we could do with that extra €30m will be more beneficial than keeping one of Europe’s best forwards. To be honest, I think Alexis staying isn’t just about the money. It’s about holding onto our talent and not rolling over as soon as a rich club offers to throw money at us.

It’s keeping this squad together and the fans onside.

I say, if the reports are true, we still keep him regardless of how much PSG – or anyone – offers.
