According to a non-league reporter, Sam Elliott, Arsenal have won the race to sign 20-year-old left-back, Cohen Bramall, from Hednesford Town.

The internet came alive on Tuesday with whispers regarding this deal and it seems like Arsenal will come out ahead with an agreement expected to be announced this week:

Last week it was reported that Bramall had been given a trial and it is now expected that he will (or has already) sign a two-year deal.

Bramall himself comes with exactly what you’d expect from an Arsene Wenger left -back – lots of pace and an ability to play further up the pitch.

Back in September, he did this:

Nacho Monreal’s Arsenal contract expires in 2019 but there have already been rumblings from Spain about a potential return home. Should that happen, Arsenal will, of course, need another for that position.

It’s a massive step-up for Bramall but he has clearly got something if Arsenal are willing to sign him. Let’s give him the time to show us that rather than going into meltdown because he isn’t a world-renowned name that cost £25m. That’s hardly his fault, is it?
