Arsenal reportedly want Juventus manager, Max Allegri, to make a decision regarding his potential move to north London as soon as March.

Allegri has only been linked with the Arsenal job since late December last year but the Gunners are apparently already eager for a decision, despite the coach only recently saying that he’s happy with the Serie A giants.

“I’m happy at Juventus,” he said earlier this month. “I don’t think my era at Juventus is over. I am very happy here and hope to stay for many years.”

According to the Sun, Arsene Wenger is due to step down as Arsenal boss at the end of the season after 21 years in charge and Allegri is now 8/1 to take over. Eddie Howe is still the major favourite, however.

So, if Allegri only said he wanted to stay in Italy recently, why would he join Arsenal? Well, apparently, not everything’s rosy at Juve.

Allegri recently had some choice words about his own players after they lost the Italian Super Cup to AC Milan (1-1, 4-5 on pens), saying he wanted to “kick some of the players up the a***”.

Apparently, his players aren’t too happy and neither are Juventus bosses after he also told a fourth official to “f*** off”, something the club tends to look down on.

Meanwhile, Allegri reportedly doesn’t feel appreciated.

If Arsenal are indeed asking Allegri to make a decision by March, this is completely understandable. A big club like Arsenal needs to put the appropriate measures in place if our coach of two decades is to leave and a new, fresh face stand in.

Hopefully, a decision about the future of our club is made sooner rather than later.
