Arsenal are reportedly ‘swooping’ for Juventus’s Miralem Pjanic in an EXCLUSIVE from The Sun, but are they really?

Arsene Wenger said at his press conference on Thursday morning that he’s not looking to find a replacement for Santi Cazorla in this window because it’s very hard to find one of that quality in January. That immediately puts a massive question mark over this story, even more than the one that was there in the first place because it’s a Sun EXCLUSIVE.

But, of course, we all know that Arsene will willingly lie his arse off if he needs to, so, what are the chances of Arsenal actually signing the 26-year-old?

The Sun claim that Wenger personally called the player, a trademark move from the Frenchman that has helped seal many a deal over the years. The source speaking to the Sun told them that the Bosnian ‘answered with enthusiasm’ and that the pair are ‘working towards a verbal agreement’.

But a report in Italy states that Juve have no intention of selling the player so how, exactly, is Arsene Wenger talking to him?

Despite this, the Sun claim Arsenal will ‘test the waters by submitting a £28million offer.’

Who’s lying?

Somebody is clearly lying somewhere and if I had to put my money on who it is, it wouldn’t go on Arsene this time.

Pjanic only arrived in Turin from Roma in the summer and after impressing in his first season, maybe fancies a nice little payrise.

Agent games seems to be the most likely reality here, but what do I know?

Five goals and five assists in 13 Serie A games this season on the back of 10 goals and 12 assists in 33 league appearances last, he certainly would be an excellent addition.

Sadly, Juventus are also well aware of his talent. Not a surprise, really, given they shelled out £27.2m for him just six months ago.
