With the Spring series starting only in April, Arsenal Ladies have announced one game so far, the Kelly Smith celebration game on the 19th of February, but are there any more friendlies planned?

It seems curious that arsenal.com has no games prior to the Spring Series start in April. It is quite funny because there is actually a discrepancy between arsenal.com and the official Arsenal Ladies’ FA WSL website fixtures list.

One of them does not the have the Notts County home game listed. The FA Women’s Cup Round 5 game will be the first official game is scheduled for 19th March.

So, if we want to know what teams the Arsenal Ladies are playing in pre-season, we need to go abroad and find the information from the opposition teams.

It is strange to have no transparency on what is happening, as if the club does not want fans to come and watch those games.

So, we know that Arsenal Ladies will have a training camp probably in Portugal and play Wolfsburg somewhere near Faro on 4th February.

The teams played the same friendly last year behind closed-doors and you would not be surprised if that is the case again. Considering Arsenal Ladies do not play in the Champions League and have not competed there for a long time, it is a shame not to be able to watch those interesting games.

Then a couple of days later, they are set to play Rosengard on 9th February in another training game, probably at Cobham which means, again, a behind closed-doors match as security at Chelsea’s training ground is tight.

So to recap, here is the program disclosed so far:

04/02 A Wolfsburg ( GER) in Portugal

09/02 N Rosengard ( SWE) Cobham (?)

19/02 H Kelly Smith celebration game v All Star XI
