According to The Stats Zone, Arsenal have the easiest run of fixtures in January.

The average fixture difficulty ranking (FDR) is calculated by looking at the fixtures and how we’ve fared against those teams before.

In January, so far, we’ve already faced Bournemouth and drew 3-3 but we also play Swansea City (A), Burnley (H) and Watford (H) before the month is over. You can’t help but agree that these are fixtures we should be taking maximum points from. We’ve had a difficult December – goodness knows we need some good form right now.

According to the Stats Zone’s table, Arsenal have the easiest month with an average FDR of 1.75, while our title rivals, have an FDR of 2.25 or higher.

Does this mean anything? Well, no. They’re just predictions and, as we showed against Bournemouth after the table had been made, anyone can drop points to anyone in this league.

Hopefully, now that Chelsea have finally dropped points (to Spurs, boo), we can push on and make up some ground.
