According to reports, Juventus are readying an offer for Alexis Sanchez, which includes midfielder, Miralem Pjanic.

The Metro, who cite Italian publication, Tuttosport, claim that the Serie A club are willing to swap Pjanic, who Arsenal have been linked with this month, in order to bring our Chilean forward to Italy.

Alexis, as we’re all sick and tired of hearing, has 18 months left on his existing contract in north London and while negotiations are ongoing, he’s going to continue to be linked with every club under the sun.

The facts

Negotiations are ongoing between Arsenal and Alexis but Arsene Wenger is hopeful that they’ll reach a positive conclusion.

Juventus did want Alexis but Arsenal said he wasn’t for sale. There’s no evidence to say that they’ve returned, although there was at least interest there. I’m sure they would love Alexis, as would most clubs, but whether an approach has been made, let alone offer readied, is unknown.

Pjanic only signed from Roma in the summer and is contracted with Juve until 2021. He’s scored five and assisted four Serie A goals in 14 appearances this season, which is brilliant. Therefore, I don’t see him moving any time soon.

Meanwhile, sports reporter, Simon Collings, claims that it’s the other way around and Juventus are the ones turning down the swap.
