Wolfsburg sporting director, Klaus Allofs, has finally admitted defeat and claims that the Bundesliga club will listen to offers for Julian Draxler.

The 23-year-old has been linked with a move away from Wolfsburg since the summer when everything appeared to go south. Although it was initially believed that the German team would wait until next summer in order to cash in on his €75m release clause, it appears they’ve had enough and Allofs is ready to offload the Germany international in January.

“If there are bids, then we are willing to listen to them,” Allofs told Sky Sports Deutschland.

“We have acted fairly and consistently, but unfortunately the situation has taken a turn for the worse. Can he be brought back into the squad? It would be difficult.”

Juventus and PSG are also reportedly interested. However, I’m still undecided on whether Arsene Wenger would allow a young player that he’s rated for years disappear to another club.

On the other hand, he’s done so before and would he spend £30m on a player we don’t necessarily need?

At the moment, I reckon we’ll see Draxler pass us by, and I’ve got no problem with that. But I’m not sure it’s as black and white as we think.
