Jack Wilshere has won Bournemouth’s Player of the Month award by a landslide: 71% of the votes.

In second place came Nathan Ake with 23%, while Joshua King got 4%.

The massive percentage shows how much the Cherries’ fans are responding to Wilshere finally regaining his fitness and hitting form.

Since joining Bournemouth on loan, Jack’s made 10 Premier League appearances and is now starting every single game. He even featured in his team’s impressive 4-3 comeback over Liverpool at the weekend and, before that, was good against Stoke and Sunderland.

It’s brilliant to see the 24-year-old finally staying fit enough to develop and the Bournemouth fans appreciating his hard work.

Wilshere is out of contract with Arsenal next year and the midfielder claims that this spell down south is in order to convince his parent club that he’s worthy of a new one.

“At the moment, my head is in Bournemouth,” he said recently.

“I know as much as everyone else knows.

“I read what the boss at Arsenal said and at the moment I’m focused on performing for Bournemouth and putting myself in a position where Arsenal want to offer me a new contract and I’m in a strong position at the end of the season.

“At the moment, I’m taking each game as it comes, working hard and I’m looking forward to the next six or seven months here at Bournemouth. We’ll see what happens after that.”

Although he’s not positive what he wants to do about his future, it’s just good to see him getting game time.
