Following Arsenal’s 2-1 loss against Manchester City, Arsene Wenger tried to explain why we were so bad in the second half.

A fourth minute goal from Theo Walcott put Arsenal on top. We were tearing City’s defence apart at will and could have been two or three goals ahead at the break.

However, something changed at half time. Pep Guardiola’s team came out fighting, scoring quickly and putting us on equal terms, and proceeded to not let us have a second’s rest until they went 2-1 up. Even then, we were lucky we didn’t lose by an even bigger margin.

After the match, Wenger blamed the fact that we dropped physically in the second half but this shouldn’t be happening at this stage in the season.

I get that we traveled to Everton midweek, headed back to London and then went back to Manchester days later but every team has to travel.

We need a new plan and soon.
