As Arsenal fans sat waiting for the PSG game to finish to learn their group fate, Edinson Cavani came within a shoelace of dumping Arsenal into second place.

The forward was running on to a whipped cross and had he chosen to use longer studs he would surely have scored with just seconds of the match remaining. That would have given PSG a 3-2 win, placing them on top of the group.

He didn’t.
