Theo Walcott has now scored more Premier League goals than Robert Pires.

The forward scored eight Premier League goals this season, three more than he did in total last term, and he’s now Arsenal’s fifth highest league goalscorer.

During his decade at Arsenal, Theo’s scored 63 Premier League goals in 252 games and while you could argue that injuries have severely hampered his chance to reach this milestone sooner, it’s still a massive deal.

Robert Pires scored 62 in 189 during his time in north London and while he played significantly less games than Theo, he’s never going to improve on this. Therefore, Theo’s position is safe.

The next player to hurdle is none other than Dennis Bergkamp with 87 in 315 games. It’ll be a tough ask but I’m sure Theo can do it in a few seasons.

Above that is Robin van Persie (96), Ian Wright (104) and, of course, at the top is Thierry Henry with a massive 175 goals in 258 games.
