Olivier Giroud is level on headed goals with former Spurs star, Gareth Bale.

Since 2014/15, the France international has 13 headed goals, the same as Bale.

Since signing for Real Madrid in 2013, Bale has scored a whopping 65 goals and assisted 50 in just 139 appearances. Therefore, forgetting the fact that he’s ex-Spurs for a second, he is proving himself to be a world class player; he’s scoring around 0.5 goal an appearance.

Giroud has scored 87 in 201 appearances. Or, 0.4 goals per appearance. Not too shabby at all, especially looking at their goal/minute stats since Giroud often scores off the bench.

Bale scores a goal, on average, every 170.6 minutes. Giroud scores every 156.3.

Therefore, it’s not really a massive surprise that Giroud at least scores the same amount of headed goals as Bale. In fact, I’m surprised it’s not more! Sort it out, Oli!

Cristiano Ronaldo is still the out-and-out winner with 19 headed goals since 2014/15.
