Not long after Arsenal were linked with a move for West Ham’s star player Dimitri Payet, Manchester United are said to be about to swoop in.

The 29-year-old hasn’t managed to quite replicate his success from last season when he scored nine Premier League goals and assisted 12, he’s still not a bad player.

Payet only just signed a new contract with West Ham at the beginning of the year, theoretically keeping him in east London until 2021. However, the media suggesting that the Hammers could be willing to sell.

As quickly as Arsenal were linked, so were Manchester United, with reports claiming that  Marouane Fellaini could go the other way.

At the moment, I don’t see Arsenal needing or even wanting Payet. However, if United are trying to flog Fellaini, there’s every chance they could be interested.

Would the France international turn the chance down?

Who knows. Although I don’t think we’ll see any movement in January.
