Juventus manager, Massimiliano Allegri, reportedly wants to build his own dynasty at Arsenal once Arsene Wenger leaves.

The 49-year-old, who also managed AC Milan for four years, replaced the current Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte, at Juve back in 2014 after the Italian stood down. Since, Allegri has gone on to win the Serie A title twice and got his team to the Champions League final.

The former midfielder is young and capable, with his contract at Juve ending at the end of this season. The same as Wenger’s.

Could he be a good choice?

Perhaps.

However, I still feel very strongly that we haven’t seen the last of Wenger and I do see him extending his contract by another year. Of course, Allegri could do the same in Italy, but according to reports, he doesn’t have a very positive relationship with the Italian press and is therefore keen to leave.

With Diego Simeone also still being linked with the Arsenal job, it’ll be interesting to see how this develops.
