Sources in France suggest the German centreback will transfer to a top French team in January.

The Olympic gold medal winner signed up for the Ladies back in February 2016 as a free agent following her departure from PSG. She started the season on the bench as the Stoney-Rose partnership had done a good job during the previous season.

Once one of the players’ standard dropped a little bit, Josie came into the starting XI and was a regular, performing well for the team. She did miss a couple of games due to injury and the Olympics.

Although the rumor that she was leaving has been going round for more than a month, it seems strange for the club to release the two most experienced and decorated centrebacks in Stoney and Henning.

Unless some top quality centrebacks are signing up in the next months, it does not really make sense to sell them both. The other option would be that Pedro Losa has given his seal of approval to Lotte Wubben-Moy and Vyan Sampson for next season.

Josie has been a superb player for the club, bringing her experience and will to win to the squad and would be a big loss to the team.
