The US WNT midfielder who scored a hat-trick in the 2015 World Cup final against Japan was a guest of the Arsenal Ladies manager.

There is no suggestion that Arsenal Ladies are looking to sign the world class attacking midfielder at the moment. We know that the US WNT players are currently negotiating a new CBA with US Soccer and this has prompted players to look at offers from Europe. For example, Alex Morgan has now signed for Lyon and Crystal Dunn is currently in Europe looking for a club.

There are so many midfielders in the Arsenal Ladies squad at the moment and it would be difficult to find a place for her, especially as Kim Little has just been signed and obviously plays in the same position on the pitch.

Carli Lloyd played under Pedro Losa in the NWSL in the USA, when the Arsenal Ladies manager was assistant manager to Arran Lines from 2012 to 2014.

The Liverpool fan is on her way to the north and is currently discovering the great British public transport. She does not seem impressed with Virgin trains:

Carli Lloyd’s contract is with US Soccer rather than with her football club (Houston Dash) and with the agreement expiring in four days on 31 December, teams interested can submit an offer as she will be free to move away from the NWSL.
