Congratulations on surviving November, Arsenal! We made it!

Nearly untouched, until the last match, but oh well, life goes on.

And what do we have now? December, the last month of the year, usually filled with Premier League fixtures and 2016 is no different.

We started early, with West Ham away on 3 December.

After that, we’re off to Switzerland for the last match of the Champions League group stage. Not much can change – unless PSG lose to Ludogorets – so I’m expecting a slightly weaker team. Not EFL Cup weaker, but resting some key players for upcoming games doesn’t seem like a bad idea in a practically meaningless fixture.

Then it’s all about the Premier League, and boy, it’s hard. First we are “welcoming” Stoke; always nasty, both on and off pitch. I haven’t watched them this season but we all know it’s never easy against that lot. Nonetheless, a win at home is a must.

After that we have two away trips up north. On a Tuesday night, we’re facing Everton in Liverpool. Ronald Koeman’s men are definitely not an easy task but I’d say they are easier opponents than what comes next – a trip to Manchester to meet with The Bald One and his City. Hopefully we’ll both be in first place or close to it and this could be a real treat for fans, with us winning in the end, of course.

West Bromwich Albion are coming to the Emirates Stadium on Boxing Day. An easy opponent, and hopefully a lot better outcome than that disaster on the same day last year.

And that’s it! December is over, the year is over, and we’re on to the new one. A trophy-winning one? Well, certainly not the EFL Cup trophy, but there are three more to win. I’m confident.

Have a lovely December!
