According to reports coming from Italy, Carlos Bacca’s relationship with current team, AC Milan, has hit a rough patch.

Arsenal were linked with the striker during the summer before we signed former Deportivo forward, Lucas Perez, for a reported £17m. If fact, according to Slaven Bilic, the Colombian turned down the chance to sign for West Ham, who were also heavily linked, because he was waiting to see if anything materialised as far as we were concerned.

“But we weren’t the first choice of the Colombian,” Bilic revealed.

“He was waiting for Arsenal or Atletico Madrid and then finally decided to stay at Milan, but we are very happy because we bought Zaza, who an year ago was our first choice.”

However, according to reports, Bacca’s not happy at Milan, nor are they happy with him and they could be looking to offload the star, who’s currently injured, for €24m in January.

Apparently, we want him as back-up.

Would we move for him? Right now, I don’t think so and definitely not in January. Wenger has a lot riding on Danny Welbeck’s return and after all this time, I highly doubt the boss would just go and blow €24m on someone new.

Is he worth it? Bacca has scored six goals in Serie A so far this season in just 13 appearances. He’s also assisted two. However, he’s 30 with two-and-a-half years left on his existing contract.
