Arsenal continue to be linked with Borussia Dortmund duo, Marco Reus and Christian Pulisic.

The two players were being reported to be our replacements for Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, should they not sign contract extensions with Arsenal. This is all despite our two stars still having 18 months left on their existing deals.

Reus is an established German international who has scored four and assisted six in just six appearances in all competitions this season. The 27-year-old has been injured up until November and has hit the ground running since his return.

We’ve been linked with Reus before and, therefore, I wouldn’t say it was all that outlandish if we were actually looking at signing him.

However, Pulisic, who Liverpool have also been linked with, is just 18 years old.

The winger has made 12 Bundesliga appearances this season, scoring two and assisting four, as well as featuring six times in the Champions League, so he is promising and, I’m sure, very talented. However, as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez? I don’t think so.

Reports are now claiming that Dortmund could find it hard to hold onto the two stars given their poor position in the league. They’re currently sixth, already 12 points off Bayern Munich at the top.
