Arsenal are reportedly set to miss out on Charlton Athletic winger, Ademola Lookman, as Everton hunt for a replacement for Yannick Bolasie.

According to the Sun, Arsenal were initially favourites to sign the 19-year-old. However, the Toffees have taken the lead and are said to be willing to pay £11m to bring the winger to Goodison Park.

This season, the England youth international has already made 18 League One appearances and scored four goals (one assist). As well as two in three in the FA Cup.

However, Charlton know a good player when they see one and Lookman is currently contracted with them until 2020, suggesting that they won’t let go without a fight.

Are Arsenal interested? There’s no reason to suggest we aren’t. He’s clearly capable, is playing regular football in League One and is only £11m. However, I feel that Everton probably need him more and can offer him more regular playing time than we can.
