Arsenal are in sixth place when it comes to the best teams in Europe this season with two potential Champions League opponents occupying spots above them.

When it comes to the Premier League, only Chelsea are above Arsenal. They sit fourth.

Liverpool currently sit 10th, Tottenham 15th, Manchester City 16th, and Manchester United 18th.

If you base the stats solely on possession, Arsenal drop to 18th place highlighting their change of approach in many games this season.

They could, however, do with improving their pass success rate. It has them in 19th place with 83.2% – a poor score on the face of it, especially when you consider United are 8th with 85.1%. But it, perhaps, points to Arsenal attempting trickier passes than Jose Mourinho’s men. That’s what I like to tell myself, anyway.

Also, I think we should have extra points because that Granit Xhaka red card – come on!
