Joel Campbell helped himself to a goal and an assist as Sporting CP beat Arouca 3-0 on Sunday evening.

Campbell’s goal, his third in the league in six games (four starts, 286 minutes total, averaging a goal every 95 minutes) came in the 55th minute. Joel’s assist, his first of the season, helped Sporting go three up with just over 20 minutes to go.

Speaking after the game, Campbell said, “It was an important result for the team and I am happy to have scored, but it is credit to the whole team.

“We have to thank the fans for turning out the way they did. Their support is really important for us and hopefully we can keep winning for them.”
