Dan Crowley and Glen Kamara both made starts for their loan teams during their Checkatrade Trophy matches on Tuesday night.

Here’s how they got on.

Dan Crowley

The 19-year-old midfielder played 78 minutes for Oxford United against Chelsea’s u21s on Tuesday night in the Checkatrade Trophy.

The match was played in front of a crowd of 5,200 at Stamford Bridge with the home team going 1-0 ahead just before the break.

Oxford United, however, came back right at the last minute with a goal from Maguire in the 90+4th minute.

Crowley will be glad to get almost an entire match under his belt.

Glen Kamara

21-year-old Kamara also got a start for Colchester United against Charlton Athletic in the same tournament.

The visitors, Charlton, went ahead through Ajose in the 32nd minute before the home team equalised before half time via Bonne.

Kamara got a whole match under his belt for his loan team, which he’ll be pleased with considering he’s only made three League Two starts so far this season.

All in all, a minor trophy but crucial game time for our boys.
