Alexis Sanchez has sustained a low grade muscle tear in training for Chile, while Hector Bellerin is said to be a doubt for the Spain u21s this Friday.

News broke late on Tuesday afternoon that Alexis was being assessed after he’d sustained a suspected muscular problem while away on international duty.

Unfortunately, it does seem as if the forward has injured his calf. However, he will stay in Santiago for treatment and further assessment.

The 27-year-old is arguably Arsenal’s best player at the moment and although it’s said to be ‘low grade’, I’m not than a little concerned for obvious reasons.

Not only this but apparently Bellerin is a doubt for Spain’s u21s’ match against Austria on Friday.

Although the right-back returned to action against Spurs, before that, he missed out on the journey to Ludogorets because he was carrying a knock so we can only presume this is the reason.

It’s not looking good. Fingers crossed neither is too serious.
