Alex Iwobi wowed football recently with his rainbow flick for Nigeria in the game against Algeria, but his manager, Gernot Rohr, was not surprised.

The Nigeria manager revealed that after peaking with Arsene Wenger recently, the Arsenal manager told him that there is more to come from Alex which is all rather exciting.

Here’s the flick in case you haven’t already seen it (or, more likely, want to see it again)

“I didn’t see it coming but I wasn’t surprised he (Iwobi) did it,” Rohr said.

“When I met Arsene Wenger last month, we talked about Iwobi and he told me there’s more to his game than what we are seeing at the moment.

” He is a confident lad. He is not afraid to try new tricks in training and games. He can only get better, his best is yet to come”.

Iwobi is expected to start again for Arsenal this weekend when they travel to Old Trafford for the early kick-off.
