Olivier Giroud had high praise for former teammate, Ludogorets striker, Claudiu Keseru.

The 29-year-old, who was at Tours with Oli and Laurent Koscielny, has scored a simply stunning nine goals in nine appearances in the Bulgarian League this season and will definitely be one to watch during Arsenal’s away clash.

Alongside Arsene Wenger, Olivier praised the Romania international, claiming that he’s not just a good striker but a ‘good guy’.

“He’s a good player, but a good guy as well,” Giroud said, “and I was very pleased to see him doing well for Romania in the European Championship, and it was a very nice time for us.

“Now I will play against him in the Champions League and I’m very happy for him.”

Oli’s likely to start against Ludogorets as he’s just returned from injury and needs minutes. It gives the boss an opportunity to rest Alexis, who we need fresh for the North London Derby on Sunday. Therefore, this is a chance for Giroud and Keseru to be on the same pitch together for the first time in years.

The Frenchman scored a brace against Sunderland last weekend so hopefully the big guy can continue as we try to replicate our 6-0 victory from a few weeks ago.
