Former Arsenal target, Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa could be looking to leave new club Inter Milan sooner than anticipated.

During the summer, Arsenal were linked with the Brazilian wonderkid, Gabriel Barbosa, aka Gabigol. However, the former Santos starlet ended up moving to Inter Milan in a deal worth £26m.

According to Calcionews24, the 20-year-old forward could be looking for another move sooner rather than later though, seeing as he’s only made one 16-minute appearance in Serie A so far. Apparently, Inter are planning to offload him.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Barcelona have all been linked, which is predictable because we were the main clubs rumoured to be interested in the goal machine over the summer.

During 2015, Gabigol scored 10 goals and assisted seven in 30 appearances in the Brazilian league and swiftly became one of the hottest young prospects in the world. Therefore, it’s understandable that his failure to secure playing time at his new club is concerning.

He’s contracted with Inter until 2021 so I doubt he’ll move any time soon but, considering how highly rated it is, it stands to reason that we’re at least keeping an eye on the situation from afar.
