Marouane Fellaini has reportedly returned to Manchester United through injury while away on international duty.

The striker has apparently failed to heal from a calf injury while away with the Belgium national team and has been sent back to his club.

The 28-year-old is yet to score for the United this season but considering they’re also without Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the former PSG star picked up his fifth yellow against Swansea and therefore faces a ban, it’ll come as a blow to the team who could do with him as an option.

It’s unknown whether he’ll miss out when United host Arsenal on 19 November or whether him getting sent home is just a precaution.

Although Fellaini isn’t exactly lethal in front of goal, he’s lethal on the pitch, winding our players up, elbowing and generally being a nuisance so not having him pushing our players around will be very much welcome.

Meanwhile, Alexis appears to have confirmed that he won’t miss the trip, which is a huge boost.
