It was reported earlier in the week that Hector Bellerin has extended his existing contract with Arsenal and now new details have emerged.
According to claims, the right-back, whose current deal runs out in 2019, has signed a six-year deal, earning him £100,000 a week. Four times the amount he’s supposedly getting now.
When talk began a couple of months ago over tying the Spaniard town to a new deal in north London, it was reported that we could double his wages to £50,000 a week.
However, with the interest of Barcelona and Manchester City being widely reported, if the new details are true, we’re obviously playing hard ball.
The initial reports that he’d signed on the dotted line before jetting off to train with Spain’s u21s were backed up when his agent, Albert Botines, revealed that negotiations were progressing well and it looks like a new deal was on the cards.
These reports don’t seem as if they’re coming from nowhere and, if true, happy days.
