Santi Cazorla will not be returning to the Arsenal side for their next game against Manchester United at Old Trafford next weekend.

Santi has been out since October, his last game being the 6-0 win over Ludogorets at the Emirates, and despite returning to training, every time he gets close to a return to the starting lineup he seems to suffer a setback.

His Achilles’ is the root of the problem, an issue he has been struggling with for around a year now. He missed 43 days and 7 games last season with the same problem between March and April.

The news comes as a massive blow to Arsenal as they travel north to face Jose Mourinho. We all know how much Cazorla’s absence from a knee injury hurt us last season.

That being said, while a completely different player, we didn’t have Granit Xhaka available last season, and we might even get to see Aaron Ramsey playing in the middle where we know he can cause so much damage.

So it’s not all bad.

Honest.
