Arsene Wenger has confirmed that four first team Arsenal players haven’t traveled to Bulgarian ahead of our clash with Ludogorets.

After beating Ludogorets at the Emirates 6-0, it stands to reason that we probably don’t need to field a full strength starting XI.

What’s more is that we face Spurs on Sunday and having the strongest team available for the North London Derby is paramount.

The Premier League takes priority right now seeing as Ludogorets should be simple enough to beat, even on their turf, we’ll more than likely progress to the final 16 of the Champions League regardless of the result.

Speaking to the press ahead after arriving in Sofia, Wenger said that Santi Cazorla, Theo Walcott, Nacho Monreal and Hector Bellerin hadn’t traveled. While Santi, Theo and Nacho are already carrying injuries, Bellerin’s is new.

“Bellerin had a little incident in the last minute of training so they are not here,” Wenger said.

Hmmm.

Olivier Giroud joined the boss in front of the media, which suggests that he’ll get a start.
