Arsenal were well below par against Tottenham on Sunday and might think that a point was a decent result given how poor they were at times.

Here’s how the players rated individually:

Videos by @Arsenalist

Petr Cech 6.5

Did some good things, did some scary things.

Hector Bellerin 7

His usual up-and-down self…up and down the pitch, that is.

Shkodran Mustafi 7

Turned easily by Son.

But also did this

Laurent Koscielny 7.5

Brainless for the penalty (although Coquelin was being fouled in the buildup, that still doesn’t make Kos any smarter). Apart from that, was excellent.

Nacho Monreal 7

Made a flying block to deny Kane and was generally solid.

Francis Coquelin 7.5

Great tackle..

Was probably Arsenal’s player of the first half

Granit Xhaka 7.5

Was just a funky haircut away from giving Arsenal the lead again.

Theo Walcott 6.5

Smacked the post with an absolutely unreal effort that had Lloris flailing.

Alex Iwobi 6

Great chance to opening the scoring but his effort was tame and straight at Lloris.

Mesut Ozil 7.5

Chance from edge of box after being found by Alexis.

Grabbed the assist for Wimmer’s great header.

Alexis 7

Ran a lot as usual but wasn’t his effective self. Created four chances.

Subs

Aaron Ramsey 6.5

Kept doing this

Olivier Giroud 6

Had a glorious chance in the 90th minute to win it. Passed it tamely to Lloris as if he thought he was playing for France.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain 3

Awful. Just awful.

Referee

Mark Clattenberg 5

Should have given Arsenal a penalty when Xhaka practically had his shirt removed in the box. Also should have given them a freekick right on the D as Monreal fouled Ericksen. Given how he takes free kicks and we take penalties, let’s call that even.

Ignored Coquelin being fouled in the run up to their penalty as he was too focused on watching for their penalty.

Booked Koscielny for winning the ball while he allowed Victor Wanyama to do whatever the hell he liked. The Spurs midfielder could and should have had a number of yellows but remained uncautioned and on the pitch for the full 90.
