There were less minutes for Arsenal’s crop of players out on-loan across Europe, but a handful still have matches left to complete this weekend.

Calum Chambers and Jack Wilshere both played the full 90 minutes for their respective sides as Middlesbrough scored late on to held Manchester City to a 1-1 draw.

Wilshere was publicly praised by Eddie Howe after a Man of the Match performance, despite Bournemouth’s 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Sunderland.

Dan Crowley was an unused substitute in Oxford United’s 5-0 away win over non-league side Merstham in the FA Cup first-round proper.

Crowley’s midfield counterpart Glen Kamara was also an unused substitute as Colchester United were knocked out of the FA Cup at home against Chesterfield.

Eastleigh held Swindon Town to a 1-1 draw in the Cup on Friday evening, but goalkeeper Ryan Huddart was among the players on the bench.

Arsenal loan watch – NETHERLANDS

Kelechi Nwakali and Tafari Moore were afforded rare starts for their respective sides on Friday evening. Nwakali completed the full 90 minutes, whilst Moore was replaced in the 77th minute as FC Utrecht’s second-string team lost again away from home.

Centre-back Stefan O’Connor meanwhile, wasn’t named in the matchday squad for MVV Maastricht.

Arsenal loan watch – SPAIN

Jon Toral played a central midfield role for Granada during their 1-1 home draw against Deportivo La Coruna. The 21-year-old played 69 minutes before being replaced, presumably as the hosts needed fresh legs having just conceded through Florin Andone.

Julio Pleguezuelo wasn’t involved in Mallorca’s matchday squad for their 2-2 draw with Zaragoza.

Joel Campbell (Sporting), Wojciech Szczesny (Roma), Takuma Asano (VfB Stuttgart) are all first-team players that could feature for their respective sides in the remainder of this weekend’s fixtures across European competition.
